PatentHome Privacy Policy
PatentHome absolutely protects any clients’ right to privacy. We follow strict privacy policies to protect all clients’ personal and financial information.
- The Privacy Policy (‘Privacy Policy’) refers to PatentHome’s security procedures for protecting personally identifiable information (‘Personally Identifiable Information’) collected by PatentHome.
- PatentHome’ will NEVER sell, trade or rent a clients name, email address or personal information to any third party except to fulfill service a client, unless specifically authorized by a client.
- PatentHome’ uses internet security companies to scan and encrypt all information sent through our website’s forms.
- PatentHome’s does not allow access of a clients personally identifiable information to anyone outside of our authorized employees and associates hired to service a client such as a draftsman or a product developer authorized by a client.
- All employees are bound by both state and federal codes of professional responsibility to preserve the confidences and secrets of our clients who have employed or sought to employ our services.
Traffic Data and Information. PatentHome uses internal and third-party methods to track web page user data like IP addresses and browser settings (collectively ‘User Data’). PatentHome’s internal servers and software automatically recognize User Data. No Personally Identifiable Information is obtained or saved in this process. The Site may also use User Data to accumulate traffic data about the kind and types of users who view the Site (collectively ‘Traffic Data’).
PatentHome may use the standard cookie feature of major browser applications and third-party providers or employ internally developed cookies and tracking codes that allow PatentHome to store a small piece of data on a user’s computer. PatentHome does not capture Personally Identifiable Information in cookies or use cookies to mine Personally Identifiable Information.
PatentHome may use Traffic Data information to analyze Site traffic, without obtaining or using any Personally Identifiable Information. Traffic Data is used to help diagnose problems, to administer our Site, or to display content according to user preferences. Traffic and transaction information may be shared with business partners, affiliates, and/or advertisers on an anonymous and aggregated basis.
Personal Information. PatentHome requires each client to provide us with personal information (collectively ‘Personally Identifiable Information’) to facilitate in the processes employing or seeking to employ our services. Personally Identifiable Information is captured only when a visitor signs in to the system and willingly discloses such information in the forms section of the Site. Personally Identifiable Information includes, but is not limited to:
- ‘Contact Info ‘ (such as name, address, city, state, zip code, phone number, and email address);
- ‘Payment Info ‘ (such as credit card number, expiration date, and verification code);
- ‘Demographic Info ‘ (such as zip code and gender); and
- other ‘Legal Info ‘ (such as social security number, trade secrets, inventions, and/or idea submissions and other sensitive information necessary to generate proper legal documents). Some personal information becomes public record when documents are filed with the federal government agencies such as the US Patent and Trademark Office and the US Copyright Office . The US Patent and Trademark Office will publish the names and addresses of patent and trademark applicants and or registrants.
PatentHome’s Privacy Policy does not cover actions by any third parties.
PatentHome with third party assistance, may use a clients Personally Identifiable Information to verify identity and process order and payment through merchant account services. Contact Data may be used to follow up with clients on transactions initiated on the Site, respond to inquiries made through the Site, and send clients additional information about PatentHome. Unless specifically authorized by a client, Patent Home will not provide Personally Identifiable Information to third parties, except as necessary to service a client. PatentHome will only disclose information to third parties to comply with a court order.
We may also use Demographic Data to inform third parties about the number of registered users, number of unique visitors, and the pages most frequently browsed in a way that does not identify client or visitor any specific but provides collective information about our users.
